Tim Cook and other Apple executives sued by shareholders due to eBook price fixing

Leading into 2014, Apple was dealing with a high-profile eBook price fixing lawsuit, with cases ranging from the court rejecting Apple’s stay of compliance, to a federal judge approving a class action lawsuit. Most recently, in July, Apple settled their eBook eBook price fixing accusations, with a payout believed to be upwards of $450 million. Now, a new report states that shareholders aren’t too please with the whole situation, and are taking action. Continue reading

Industrial designer Marc Newson to join Apple's design team

Apple confirmed to Vanity Fair on Friday afternoon that renowned industrial designer Marc Newson will be joining Apple’s design team under Senior Vice President of Design Jonathan Ive. Newson will continue to be based in the United Kingdom while serving as an Apple employee, making frequent trips to the company’s headquarters in Cupertino.  Continue reading
