Apple supply chain partners ramp up production of iPad Air 2 components

According to Taiwanese blog DigiTimes, which has a hit-and-miss track record as it relates to reporting on Apple’s upcoming product plans, supply chain partners for the Cupertino-based company are reportedly ramping up production for components to be used in the next-generation iPad Air 2. The upcoming tablet is expected to be thinner and lighter than the current iPad Air, retaining a 9.7-inch screen and improved Touch ID fingerprint scanner.  Continue reading

Apple updates App Store developer guidelines ahead of iOS 8, won't accept 'plain creepy' apps

Apple has updated its official App Store Review Guidelines ahead of the imminent launch of iOS 8, adding new sections for Extensions, HomeKit, HealthKit and TestFlight that pertain to the upcoming software update. Hackers used law enforcement software to obtain celebrity photos from iCloud accounts

Apple has been experiencing nothing short of a PR nightmare since last weekend, when nude celebrity photos allegedly sourced from hacked iCloud accounts began surfacing on the anonymous image sharing board 4Chan. After commenting that it was actively investigating the matter, the iPhone maker followed up with a statement claiming that the celebrity photo leaks were a “very targeted attack” and not the direct result of an iCloud breach.
