A cool new jailbreak tweak called iOS MiniPlayer that is in the works. The tweak as the name suggests has been inspired by iTunes 11′s mini player, is being developed by (as well as conceptualized by) Siriflow and Smartviper. Sentry - UI designer behind Auxo – my favorite jailbreak tweak of 2012 has designed the app. They’ve just released a teaser video of the concept. Moves for iPhone Tracks Activity Without Extra Devices
The Fitbit and Jawbone UP have received a lot of attention for helping people become more fit by understanding how they move throughout the day. Of course in addition to the app you need the device (generally more than $100) to pull it off. Now what if you could do the same thing with just an app…and for free? That’s what Moves for iPhone is trying to do. Continue reading

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 03:17 PM PST

I think to say that Q4 2012 was “a good quarter” for AT&T would be a huge understatement. While we already had some hints at what AT&T would be releasing today, now we have the real, and impressive, numbers. Posted: 24 Jan 2013 12:48 PM PST

If your iPhone is carrier locked—and your carrier won’t unlock it for you—and you want to legally unlock it, time’s running out. Starting Saturday in the U.S. unlocking your cellphone will be a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and a no-no. At least if you do it yourself. As you’d expect, this will be challenged in court over whether DMCA applied like this is really following the intent of the law. Continue reading

Cycloramic Updated With Hands-free Panorama Capture
We were pretty impressed with Cycloramic's iPhone app when it first came out. The idea of using the iPhone 5's vibration motor to spin the device hands-free was really cool, but the lack of shooting still image panoramas was disappointing. With today's 2.0 update, Cycloramic adds Panorama capturing abilities to the app. Continue reading

Drafts Updated with Expanded Dropbox Actions and New Automations
Drafts is one of those supremely powerful apps, like Evernote, you have to commit to trying and using for a little while before you realize how indispensable it truly is. Drafts has updated the iPhone and iPad versions of the app with new Dropbox actions (you can now access your entire Dropbox and now just one folder) and a new automations feature that makes Drafts much, much more than a place to jot notes down.
