Vhoto is a new app which runs through your videos and finds magical still photos

A new iPhone app called Vhoto allows users to run through their videos and find precious moments to convert them into a still photo. This can include you doing flips, jumps or practically anything which cannot be captured with a conventional still image. The app makes use of computer vision technology to scan the video you’ve taken and find noteworthy still images from them. Continue reading

Apple will begin informing users of government data requests

Apple and other tech companies have been demanding more transparency from the U.S. government about such data requests in the wake of the NSA controversy. The Washington Post reports that companies like Apple are planning to defy authorities by notifying users of secret data requests from law enforcement agencies as they believe a user has the right to know in advance when their information is being targeted. Twitter may be adding new mute feature to its iOS app
