At the ongoing Re/Code Code conference, Apple’s SVP of Internet Services Eddy Cue and the CEO of Beats Jimmy Iovine spoke with Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher on the legacy of Steve Jobs as well as the freshly announced $3 billion deal between the two companies. Even though Apple stripped a lot of design and detail from the Camera app after pushing all devices to iOS 7, sometimes the community just can’t be pleased. Today, Apple announced it was acquiring Beats Electronics and Beats Music for $3 billion in a deal that will bring Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre into the Apple fold.
