Apple releases iTunes 11.2.1 to fix /Users folder disappearing issue

We told you about an issue with the OS X 10.9.3 update yesterday, that caused the /Users folder to disappear from Finder. Turns out the issue was actually due to iTunes 11.2, released on the same day, and Apple has released an update to fix the issue. Continue reading

Apple and Google agree to end patent lawsuits and work together on patent reform

Apple provides details on 4K monitor support in OS X 10.9.3

Featured iOS App 'Word Lens' Acquired by Google

Word Lens–an app that originally launched on iOS 4 years ago–and its parent company, Quest Visual, are now under the ownership of Google according to a post of Quest Visual’s website. The app, which translates words seen through a smartphone camera and displays them on-screen in real time, wasn’t released on Android for almost two years after originally being touted for use with the iPhone 3GS. Dummy of Rumored 'iPad Pro' Shown in New Images

A new image found on Chinese website Weibo shows what is supposedly an industrial prototype of Apple's rumored "iPad Pro" device. The pictured model is made of machined aluminum and, while it appears to be a back plate, is likely just a dummy rather than an actual part. Continue reading

Has your Users folder disappeared after upgrading to OS X 10.9.3? Here's how to get it back

Apple yesterday released OS X Mavericks 10.9.3, an update to Mac OS X with improved 4K display support, iOS contacts and calendar sync and more. After updating, some Mac owners are reporting that their /Users folder has disappeared from the root directory of their file system in Finder.
