Where do you take notes? I mean on your Mac. Notebook apps are a thing of mine. So today's deal for NoteBook by Circus Ponies certainly got my attention. I took a look at it (how could I not and you know I'm pretty impressed. Sure, fine, Evernote is a behemoth in the note taking world. It's also not the best note taking app though. It has a lot of limitations that bug me. What I like about NoteBook is that it's task focused. You create notebooks based on what you're starting point is. Writing a paper, starting a project, or just keeping a journal you get a nice, organized starting point. Continue reading

Apple Temporarily Suspends Over-The-Phone Password Resets After Hack
A few days back, Wired’s Mat Honan described a terrible incident in which his iCloud account was hacked, and his Apple devices remote wiped. The hackers had exploited gaps in Apple and Amazon’s phone-based security system to destroy reporter’s digital life. Wired reports that Apple has temporarily suspended the over-the-phone Apple ID password reset process to prevent more such hacks now that the method has become public. Continue reading

Couple of days back iMore reported that the entire new lineup of iOS devices such as the next generation iPhone, iPad mini, next generation iPod touch that will be unveiled at a special media event on September 12th and even the iPad 3 that was launched back in March will come with the new connector.
