AT&T To Allow FaceTime Over Cellular Only On New Mobile Share Data Plans
AT&T has just announced that it won’t be charging for FaceTime over cellular feature in iOS 6, but will require customers to be on one of its new Mobile Share data plans to be able to use the feature. Back in June, when Apple announced that FaceTime – the video calling feature will be work even over cellular networks with iOS 6, we noted that carriers were quiet about offering the feature on their networks. OnLive Denies Rumors That Company is Shutting Down; But Maybe Filing For Bankruptcy
The Verge reports that OnLive – the cloud gaming startup has laid off its entire staff and maybe shutting down, according to veteran video game developer Brian Fargo. Photography giant Kodak is on the verge of bankruptcy, which is why it’s auctioning its 1,100 digital photography related patents. The bidders in these auctions typically are “consortiums” composed of multiple companies hoping to utilise their collective resources to acquire these patents. This may sound bizarre, but one of these consortiums bidding in the auction includes the most unlikeliest of the companies teaming up – Apple with Google, Samsung and other Android manufacturers. Analyst: Apple Television Set Already In ‘Full Production’
Wall Street Journal has been reporting that Apple may be seeking a less radical path to expand in television than it has contemplated in the past. WSJ claims that according to 'people familiar with the matter' Apple is negotiating with cable operators to use Apple TV device as a set-top box.
