Apple Vs. Samsung Verdict: What It Means
With the verdit in the Apple vs Samsung landmark trial out, the next step would be a preliminary hearing on injunctions, as the jury has found that many of Samsung’s phones infringe on Apple patents, which could ultimately lead to sales ban in the U.S. Apple has to file its request for injunction by August 27th and Samsung will have two weeks to respond to it, with the actual hearing on September 20th. Apple And Samsung Respond To $1 Billion Jury Verdict
The jury announced the verdict in the landmark trial between Apple and Samsung few hours back. The verdict was heavily in Apple’s favor with the jury finding Samsung guilty of infringing on almost all Apple patents and concluding that Apple did not infringe on Samsung’s wireless communication technology patents. Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.1) Update Improves Battery Life; But Still Not Back to Lion (OS X 10.7.4) Levels
Apple’s Mountain Lion OS X release saw record adoption numbers in the initial few days of launch, but it also brought with a few bugs, the most noticeable of which was a substantial decrease in battery life of MacBooks. According to tests conducted by MacObserver, OS X 10.8.1, the newly released maintenance update for Mountain Lion, does improve upon the drop in battery life, but not enough to bring it to pre-Mountain Lion levels. Analyst: Apple Television “Extremely Unlikely” In The Near-Term
Ever since Steve Jobs biography revealed that he felt that he had finally cracked integrated Television sets, there has been chatter that Apple will release iOS based television sets as early as this year. It has been speculated that Apple could launch the television set as early as the end of the year or early next year. South Korean Court Rules Apple, Samsung Infringed Each Other’s Patents, Bans Some Products

The Wall Street Journal reports that a South Korean court has ruled that Apple and Samsung infringed each other’s patents and has banned some products of both companies. Back in April 2011, Apple had sued Samsung for blatantly copying its products and Samsung had countersued Apple, alleging it infringed patents related to wireless communication technology.
