Sprint iPhone Sees Disappointing Sales At Apple Stores, Fares Marginally Better At Big-Box Retailers
Apple added Sprint as the third major U.S. carrier to support the iPhone back in October last year, when the iPhone 4S launched. The carrier didn’t have a huge subscriber base as compared to Verizon and AT&T, and the iPhone was Sprint’s big bet to regain a chunk of the marke tshare that it had lost over time to the other two carriers. A new study by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), based on surveys of iPhone buyers over a three month period, doesn’t reveal very pleasing stats for Sprint. Continue reading

ITC to Review Ruling in Apple Vs. Motorola Patent Case
The U.S. International Trade Commission’s ruling that found some of Apple’s products infringing on a Motorola Wi-Fi patent will be put under the regulatory body’s review, with a final decision due in late August. Motorola’s lawsuit against Apple alleged infringement of four patents, out of which only one was found to be violated by the ITC judge. This preliminary ruling was given April earlier this year.
