A Cult of Mac reader spotted a cool new magnetic iPhone back case on the site, called MagSkin, that has enough strength to support an iPhone 4 or an iPhone 4S vertically stuck to a ferrous metallic surface. Ever since the introduction of the iPad 2 and its companion, the Smart Cover, magnets have been finding innovative uses in gadgets. Sharp To Start Delivering LCD Panels For Apple Television To Foxconn Next Quarter
According to a report on Chinese news site 21cbh.com, relayed by Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White, Sharp is stepping up production of LCD TV panels for Apple’s television, and is on track to deliver them to Foxconn starting next quarter. Earlier reports estimated the production of Apple’s television sets to start in Q4, which has now been pushed up to the third quarter, right in time for the holiday season. Continue reading

Analyst: Next iPhone to be ‘True World Phone’, Feature New Form Factor, Slightly Larger Display & Support 4G LTE Networks
According to Sterne Agee analyst Shaw Wu, Apple’s next generation iPhone will be a “true world phone” offering both 3G and 4G compatibility. Apple calls iPhone 4S a world phone, but it does not support networks such as China Mobile’s proprietary TD-SCDMA 3G network. In a new report, Wu claims that based on his checks with suppliers, Apple’s 6th generation iPhone will support China Mobile’s proprietary TD-SCDMA 3G network. China Mobile is the country’s largest mobile carrier with over 700 million subscribers.
