Verizon launching VoLTE in 2014, delays LTE-only phones until 2016

Verizon is set to launch Voice over LTE service in the fourth quarter of this year, although its first LTE-only smartphones will not hit the market until 2016. The carrier will continue selling phones with CDMA chipsets through the first half of 2016. Continue reading

Facebook 13.1 Update for iOS reduces crash rate by 50%

Facebook released an update for its app yesterday, which seemed to be a minor update to fix some bugs, but a post on the company’s Engineering blog reveals that they’ve fixed a major bug that should reduce the crash rate by more than 50 percent on iOS. According to Facebook’s Engineering blog, one of the top crashes on iOS was in the Apple Core Data system. Continue reading

Less than a month away from the announcement, while nothing is official, the one thing we’re practically certain of at this point is that the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is coming. Apple publishes disappointing employee diversity report: 55% white in U.S., 70% male globally
