PulsePoint expanding to help save the lives of more cardiac arrest victims

When someone enters cardiac arrest, they often have between four to six minutes to receive CPR before they lose brain functions or die. There is little chance of survival after 10 minutes, as approximately 95 percent of cardiac arrest victims die before reaching a hospital. Fortunately, the crowdsourcing app PulsePoint aims to increase the likelihood of victim survival by alerting users when there is someone nearby in need of CPR.  Continue reading

U.S. Customs and Border Protection piloting Mobile Passport app in Atlanta

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is now allowing American and Canadian travelers to use a new Mobile Passport app at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The app, currently in a pilot program, eliminates the need for flyers to fill out traditional custom declarations paper forms, bypassing long lines at the airport.  Continue reading

Rumor: iPhone 6 coprocessor may be codenamed 'Phosphorus'

The rumor mill is abuzz with reports of a new reversible USB Lightning cable that Apple could introduce with the iPhone 6. A new report from MFi certified accessory maker Moca.co however claims that the fully reversible cable is unlikely to ship with the iPhone 6 in September. Continue reading
