Xiaomi smartphone users in China are more engaged than iPhone users

Your next iPhone will not be made entirely by a robot

Apple manufacturing partner Foxconn recently went on a hiring spree, recruiting a record-breaking 100,000 employees from mainland China to assist with production of the iPhone 6. Then, a few days ago, it was reported that the iPhone maker was adding 10,000 robots to its assembly line to help automate the process. But if you think robots are going to be replacing humans, that does not appear to be the case.  Continue reading

Apple fails to get Siri-related patent invalidated in China

In June 2012, the Chinese company Zhizhen Network Technology filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Apple in China that accuses the iPhone maker of violating its voice recognition patent with Siri. Apple responded by attempting to have the patent invalidated through China’s State Intellectual Property Office, but a new report claims that request has been denied.  Continue reading
