Handoff feature still incompatible with older Macs, even with Bluetooth LE adapters

By Evan Selleck on Jun 18, 2014 05:32 pm
Earlier in June, Apple unveiled a treasure trove of new features for not only iOS 8, but also for their Mac lineup, all bundled together in Mac OS X Yosemite. Depending on the person, though, some of the individual features may be worth most of the fuss, including things like Continuity, or Handoff. For Wikipad, a company that is no stranger to releasing peripherals for mobile gadgets, their latest controller makes the iPad mini look like a Wii U GamePad, but if you’re in the market for dual-analog sticks, it could be right up your alley. Twitter now supports animated GIFs in the official iOS app

By Evan Selleck on Jun 18, 2014 03:34 pm
While Amazon was busy announcing their first smartphone, with a bunch of 3D-trickery for good measure, Twitter was quietly announcing something a bit different. In the world of Twitter and image sharing, people have had to resort to using different services to upload animated GIFs to the social network, instead of being able to upload them directly to the service from first-party apps (or even the website). If you’re a fan of the animated story tellers, but hate using third-party apps to upload them, then you’ll be happy with Twitter’s official changes today. Continue reading
