Amazon on Thursday launched its rumored Prime Music streaming music service, providing Amazon Prime members with unlimited, ad-free streaming of over one million songs for free. Apple seeds new OS X 10.9.4 beta to developers

Apple has seeded a new beta of OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 to developers for testing. The pre-release software has the build number 13E16 and is available through the Mac Dev Center for download. Apple defends its tax deal in Ireland amid formal investigation

While the Securities and Exchange Commission cleared Apple of any tax-related wrongdoing in the United States last October, the situation is quite different across the pond. As part of efforts to crack down on the special treatment of large companies, European Union competition regulators are investigating whether the tax deals that Apple, Starbucks and Fiat have in three European countries involve illegal state aid.  Continue reading
