Report claims TSMC tasked with A8X Chip production for 12.9-inch iPad

Following a rumor in late September that claimed the so-called “iPad Pro” could have a more powerful Apple A8X chip under the hood, Taiwan-based DigiTimes reports on Wednesday that Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) will be tasked with production of the next-generation processor for the oft-rumored 12.9-inch tablet. Fitbit Charge and Charge HR could have Caller ID and Heart Rate Monitoring on iPhone

Gizmodo has obtained what appears to be full marketing materials for two new Fitbit activity trackers — the Charge and Charge HR — ahead of each device’s respective release. Based on the leak, it appears that the two new wearables will have some interesting features like caller ID and heart rate monitoring that could be paired with an iPhone. Continue reading

Report claims iPad Air 2 supply could be limited, 27-inch Retina iMac to ship by end of 2014

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a new research note in which he predicts that Apple will unveil both the iPad Air 2 and iMac with Retina display at its October 16 event tomorrow. iPad Air 2 supplies could be limited, however, while the first Retina-equipped iMacs will only be available in 27-inch models that ship by the end of this year. U2's Bono apologizes for automatic download of 'Songs of Innocence' album

In September, following the unveiling of iPhone 6 and Apple Watch, Apple announced that it was giving away U2's newest album, "Songs of Innocence" for free to over 500 million iTunes users. Apple to have grace period on 'Double Irish' tax loophole in Ireland until 2020
