Apple Stores could soon provide service for Beats headphones and speakers

Apple Stores could soon begin providing service for all Beats Electronic products and accessories, including headphones and speakers, based on what appears to be an internal memo reportedly sent to authorized Apple Service Providers in Greece. The move would make sense given Apple’s recent $3 billion acquisition of Beats in May. Continue reading

Nearly 7 million Dropbox accounts hacked [Update: Dropbox says it wasn't hacked]

The Next Web reports that nearly 7 million Dropbox accounts have been hacked. The hackers have already leaked about 400 accounts on reddit where they’ve posted links to files that contain usernames and passwords. The hackers have promised to release more accounts in return for Bitcoin donations. Ireland could phase out tax loophole that has saved Apple billions of dollars

Reuters on Monday, citing two sources familiar with the matter, reports that Ireland is set to phase out the so-called “Double Irish” corporate tax loophole that enabled Apple, Google and other companies to save billions of dollars over the past several years. The decision comes just weeks after the European Commission launched an investigation into Ireland providing companies with illegal state aid through these tax deals.  Continue reading

Flight Attendants Union challenges FAA over in-flight usage of mobile devices

Facebook now allows you to send stickers in comments

Facebook on Monday announced that stickers, previously limited to use within the Facebook Messenger app, have been extended for use in comments sections across the social network. To send a sticker as a comment, simply tap on the smile face in the bottom-right of the comment field and tap on one of the dozens of stickers available. Continue reading
