The 9.7 inch iPad was always a big and beefy device, and when Apple released the 7.9 inch iPad mini, with practically zero bezels, it made the large iPad look morbidly obese. Rumors about an iPad 5 redesign that make the device look like an iPad mini have been around for months, but now, thanks to FanaticFone, we finally have pictures of what the rear aluminum shell looks like. Google used bad data to say they beat Apple
When Google announced the (2013) Nexus 7 last week, the company said the old 2012 model was the best selling tablet in Japan during the holiday shopping season. That’s a pretty bold statement when you consider how massively successful the iPad is. So some people started digging around, and apparently Google lied. Continue reading

Back of the envelope math: The retina iPad mini
When Apple announced the iPad mini last year, I wanted one, that is until I heard the price tag: $329. And then I saw it in person, at which point the screen immediately turned me off. Now we all know that a new iPad mini is going to come out this year, and there’s a very high probability it’s going to have a “retina” display. Again, knowing how Apple works, this new 7.9 inch iPad will have the same screen resolution as the 9.7 inch iPad does today. Continue reading

UnthreadedJB claim existence of untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/iOS 6.1.4
Last week, a hacking team called UnthreadedJB appeared out of nowhere to release an untethered jailbreak for older iPhones, iPads and iPod touches running iOS 5.1.1 or earlier. The team behind the jailbreak has now gone onto claim that they have a working untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 and iOS 6.1.4 running on newer devices like the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S etc. This is newsworthy, since evasi0n doesn't work on iOS 6.1.3 and above.
