As Apple’s focus shifted to mobile in the past few years, its desktop line of products have been sidelined, receiving no update for as much as 685 days. iPhone 5 To Support 4G LTE Around The World
The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple’s next generation iPhone will support 4G LTE networks around the world, though it won’t be available on every carrier. iPad 3 which was launched earlier in the year, supported 4G LTE network, but was not compatible with 4G LTE networks outside U.S. and Canada.   This is a new take, well new to me, on Mac security—password protecting individual apps. Right, in addition to your regular level of passwords, Mac App Blocker lets you put a password on individual apps! Sure I know some apps offer this, but apps like Mail don't. Imagine your shared Mac at home. Do you want the kids being able to launch Quicken (or whatever finance app you use) and muck about? How about launching Scrivener and accidentally deleting a chapter or section of a document? Exactly, no, you don't Let's not even start with co-workers snooping on your Mac at work or that helpful person watching your Mac at your coffee place while you go to the bathroom. Reuters reports that Apple has reduced memory chip –  both dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips and NAND memory chips orders to Samsung for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The report claims that Apple has dropped Samsung from its list of memory suppliers for the first batch of iPhone 5, which is widely expected to be unveiled at the September 12 media event, announced earlier in the week.
