Google Adds CardDAV Support To Sync Google Contacts to iOS Device
Back in 2010, Apple added support for CardDAV in iOS 4, which is an open protocol for contacts. Google has just announced that it is adding CardDAV, which will enable third-party clients like iOS Contacts app to sync Google Contacts rather than using Exchange ActiveSync.
