Rumor: iPad mini delayed due to screen issues
Not buying the new iPad Air because you’d rather wait for the retina iPad mini instead? Well, we’ve got some bad news for you. According to the Korean supply chain website ET News, it looks like Apple is having some issues securing enough panels for the second generation smaller iPad. Sharp is called out in particular. Their IGZO technology, which is apparently in the iPad Air, just doesn’t scale to such ultra high pixel densities. The issue Sharp’s panels are facing is called “burn-in”, whereby whatever you’re looking at gets engraved into the display. Continue reading

GarageBand, iBooks for OS X updated with bug fixes, stability improvements
Apple released OS X Mavericks to the public following its big October special event.
