The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) today granted Apple a patent that describes an Augmented Reality (AR) system capable of identifying and tagging real world objects in live video streams with relavant information. The patent also describes a collaborative system on top of the AR layer that lets users tag object themselves and subsequently share that data with other devices through wireless networks.
