Chinese repair shop iLab (via CydiaBlog) has posted photos of what appears to be a full assembled or at least the complete enclosure of next generation iPhone. The photos seem to mirror the next generation iPhone parts that have leaked so far and gives a very good idea of what ‘iPhone 5′ will look like (if the leaked parts are indeed the real deal). Apple’s Smartphone Market Share Drops to 16.9%; While Samsung’s Market Share Jumps to 32.6%
Research firm International Data Corporation (IDC) reports that vendors shipped 153 million smartphones in the second quarter of 2012 compared to 108.3 million units in the second quarter of 2011, a year-over-year growth of 42%. Apple shipped 26 million iPhones in the quarter, a year-over-year growth of 27.5%. However, IDC estimates that Samsung shipped 50.2 million smartphones in the last quarter, a year-over-year growth of a whopping 172.8%. Continue reading
