Back before Apple launched the iPhone and changed the smartphone market forever, the company was working on a different phone. Back in the early 90s, Apple was getting ready to launch its first desktop phone called the Wizzy Active Lifestyle Telephon, or “W.A.L.T”.

The Copyright Royalty Board’s 2018 decision to raise the rate paid to songwriters over the next handful of years has led some streaming platforms to balk at the idea. That includes Spotify, which may actually be helping Apple Music net even more monthly subscribers. 
The full version of Kuo’s note for TF International Securities is out and has more details about Apple’s 31.6-inch display. Contrary to what DigiTimes had claimed, Kuo says that Apple will be launching a 31.6-inch standalone display later this year and not an iMac.

A DigiTimes report citing reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that Apple will be switching to Mini LED display technology for its upcoming iMacs. In his note yesterday, Kuo mentioned that he expects Apple to launch a 31.6-inch 6K display this year.
