Apple seems to be planning to upgrade Siri with iOS 11.2 to ensure that it is able to recognise certain commands even when offline. As discovered by a Reddit user, Siri on iOS 11.2 beta 3 appears smart enough to be able to recognise commands like “play”, “pause” etc. while playing music even when your iPhone is not connected to the internet.
