 As per a Samsung Display source quoted by the Korea Herald, the 2019 iPhone will be available in a 6.46-inch “Plus” model, alongside the iPhone 8 successor, which will sport a 5.85-inch display. This theory makes sense given that Apple historically likes having only two flagship iPhones at launch. While this year will mostly likely be an exception with the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and the 7s Plus, the company wouldn’t want a repeat of this in the future.  A new report mentions that Apple has joined Bain Capital in its bid to purchase Toshiba’s NAND flash memory business. It is said that Bain Capital has raised ¥2.2 trillion ($18.2 billion) towards the acquisition, which includes an 18% investment or ¥400 billion ($3.62 billion) from Apple. It was previously reported that Apple, Dell, and Google were part of a consortium formed by Foxconn to acquire Toshiba’s NAND business, although nothing came of that.
