Both Safari and Chrome have this feature where if you go to a relatively popular news site like New York Times, you'll get a popup asking if you want to enable push notifications for the site. If you allow them, you'll get notifications for articles published on the site. Great. Well, the notifications from popular websites about new you might not care about is bad enough.
