Facebook Gets Serious about Live Video Streaming; App to Come with a Dedicated Video Tab

Taking on Twitter’s Periscope and YouTube’s live streaming service, Facebook today announced an update for its app with focus on videos — both live and recorded. Replacing the Messenger tab, the new Video tab in the Facebook app will now allow you to quickly access (live) videos from your friends and pages that you follow. Continue reading

Apple has Fixed the Lockscreen Bug that Allowed Anyone to Bypass Passcode to Access Photos & Contacts

A vulnerability discovered in Siri last night has been patched by Apple through a server-side update. The vulnerability made it possible to access photos and contacts on a locked iPhone running iOS 9.3.1. This was done by asking Siri to do a Twitter search and then when a contact info came up, the virtual assistant would end up giving complete access to Photos and Contact data to anyone.
