Apple has been granted a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a “Stackable magnetically-retained connector interface”, which describes a method through which two or more accessories can connect to an iOS device at the same time using the Smart Connector that Apple first introduced on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
