Following the debut of iOS 9 beta 3, Apple last week also released the first public beta version of iOS 9. This first public beta version is identical to the iOS beta 3 that was released to developers, with the only difference being the way Apple is releasing the updates. The developer version is available through Apple’s developer portal, while the public version is administered through the public beta program. Apple blocking offline Apple Music storage on iPods due to piracy concerns

Apple recently refreshed its MP3 player lineup, making cosmetic changes to the iPod nano and the iPod shuffle alongside the more significant hardware improvements it made to the iPod touch. Though refreshed, the nano and shuffle are still a step behind when it comes to Apple Music. As suggested earlier this week and confirmed today by 9to5Mac, the nano and shuffle will not sync with Apple Music due to piracy concerns. Continue reading

iTunes users reporting 503 errors when accessing Apple Music

For several hours this afternoon, Apple Music users on Reddit and Apple Support forums users were reporting 503 errors when trying to access Apple Music via iTunes [via MacRumors]. The error appeared during playback and also popped up randomly when no music was being played. This error apparently occured on Mac and PC desktops and did not affect Apple Music on the iPad and iPhone. Continue reading
