Apple and JDI in talks to build a $1.7 billion display factory in Japan

A report from Japanese website nikkan claims that Japan Display — popularly known as JDI — is currently in talks with Apple to help it finance a factory in Ishikawa, central Japan. The factory will be used to manufacture small sized liquid crystal displays, which is currently used by the Cupertino company on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.  Continue reading
