 Apple is all set to make the switch to OLED displays with the iPhone 8 later this year, and if reports are anything to go by, the company will switch its entire lineup to OLED displays starting from 2018. A report from Trendforce says that Apple’s move to OLED panels will greatly accelerate the panel’s adoption in the smartphone market, with the adoption rate hitting 50% by 2020.  In his latest investor note, KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has laid down his predictions for the upcoming iPhones from Apple.  Qualcomm announced its in-screen fingerprint scanner solution at Mobile World Congress Shanghai last week. It also partnered with Vivo to showcase a demo phone with the fingerprint sensor built-in. And while the company said in its press release that its Fingerprint scanner for displays will start showing up in devices from summer 2018, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo does not believe that to be the case.
